egeezer Comparing the Windows time service to D4 via Time.gov, the desktop’s error was about 0.8 seconds off, 0.1 seconds with D4.
From a practical point in my own use it doesn’t matter, but is interesting to see the difference between the two.
Reminds me when my father got one of the first Bulova “Accutron” watches, the first electronic watch that used a small “tuning fork” to regulate its time. This was before quartz crystals were used, like today.
One day he found that it needed a new battery, so he took it back to the dealer. While he was getting the new battery, he told the dealer that the watch was losing about a minute over a month’s time and so could he adjust it?
The dealer then said, “What are you doing? Launching rockets?” 🙂
