HELLFIRE While we’re on the subject of hallucinated policies, you can be sure that this will come up repeatedly, as corporate usage increases. So maybe it should be written into law now, to be ahead of the curve for once: if an A.I. support/service “bot” promises something, hallucinated or not, the company represented by the hallucinating agent must deliver what was promised. So, if a Bell “smart” representative tells me that there is a promotion that makes me eligible for gigabit fibre at $15/month, then they can’t weasel their way out of it, no matter how hard they try.
Only when it starts to cost enough real dollars will the bean-counters sit up and take note.
