Is Flix Avaliable on Spectrum Anywhere in HD?

Guys,
Flix is a movie channel that is part of the Entertainment View package. When I contacted Spectrum, they said they did not have a contract (Presumably from Paramount+who ones the Showtime suite of channels of which Fix is part.) to offer Flix in HD. Does anyone have this channel in HD at all?

satch I’ve got it on 602 Flix HD west.

That’s on a L-CHTR system, through my Roku app and computer browser. My brother on L-TWC system using a WorldBox has only SD version on 623.

I have it in HD on channel 623. I’m in a L-TWC area in zip code 90024.

In HD in the Dallas area on the app and world boxes and most likely ODN boxes as well. Became available when they converted the lineup to 100% MPEG4.

Yea,

Channel 667 is Flix in Metro-Milwaukee Wisconsin. But it’s only SD here. I have Spectrum Select with Entertainment View, Add-Free Max/HBO and MGM+

satch It should convert to HD when they go 100% MPEG4 in your area as a part of the preparations for high-split with the repack of QAM video. The representative didn’t know what they were talking about. They are adding channels like Boomerang HD and CNN Espanol HD as well when they do it.

Is there anywhere that says what markets are MPEG-4 and which ones are not? How far are they into this transition?

What channels have been converted to HD? Is there any guide or anything that shows these? Are they adding separate HD channel numbers as they once were in legacy Charter/Bright House markets or are they just adding the HD version on the same channel as the SD one?

I’ve been struggling to find this information for Spectrum for quite some time to manage the AVSforum HD chart, and it sounds like a lot more things are in HD with Charter than I thought.

oriolesmagic Nowhere says how much is done or what has been converted, other than areas with higher upload speeds have been converted. They’re not separate channel numbers from existing HD.

pretty much everything available to Charter in HD for the most part is passed through as HD in MPEG4 converted markets.

The only things not in HD for the most part are local access, local OTA subchannels, the Viacom music suite, most international/spanish network feeds and some of the shopping networks for the most part.

Seeing that you’re in the Dallas area, my files have the following channels still showing as SD only for the old TWC systems. It’s different for the legacy Charter systems, but I can’t find this information anywhere as a non-Charter customer living in a non-Charter market.

Game/Team HD channels (Extra Innings/Center Ice/League Pass)

I have a hard time even finding what international channels Charter still carries. It seems they dropped some of the ones they added a couple years ago (I got the Aym, GolTV, Video Rola and Semilitas ones because they put it in notices), but it seems there’s more. Any help anyone can provide me is greatly appreciated.

everything you listed except for telehit and MTV Tr3s is in HD. Disney XD no longer is carried on Charter systems nor is the spanish (SAP) feed.

Also CNN Espanol and Canal Sur is in HD now as well.

CNN International HD is carried but only available to legacy pricing plans prior to 2016.

I wish they would have not shutdown zap2it tv listings now we are down to using TVGuide.com

FYI,

I had a Spectrum moderator in the Community Forum check for the MPEG4 conversion for the boxes. Milwaukee Wisconsin/Metro are not on the list yet, so he said it is more than six months away.

catch22 thanks for posting this. I had been using the data to see where Charter services in parts of Ohio along the Ohio river. The high-split work from Cincinnati extends pretty far east of the metro in the towns along the river.
