How would it even be legal to deport American Citizens? What if protesters are deported, is that the intention of the treats, to silence people?

If we can discuss this without politics, if that is possible, it would be nice.

I worry about my ex and her (our) kids, who I helped make citizens decades ago. I worry that patriotic naturalized citizens might be first. The ex is very patriotic and loved the Reagans. I know longer love her but she’s my ex, an important figure in my lifetime and I’m worried.

Naturalized citizens can be deported if their citizenship is revoked due to fraud or misrepresentation during the naturalization process. There have been plenty of examples. Why are you “worried” about this?

Now let’s say you’re a naturalized American, here’s how you get deported:

Treason
Raping children
Terrorism
Serious levels of fraud
Run for government in certain foreign countries
Join the military in certain foreign countries

Are you doing any of those things?

It’s complex. US-born citizens can’t be deported or have their citizenship removed. OTOH, Naturalized citizens can be Denaturalized for any number of reasons. If that is the case, they need a lawyer.

That wouldn’t be simple and would involve a constitutional amendment. The executive has not only the power but the duty to enforce court orders and legislation passed by Congress. AFAIK there’s only one concrete example of where a president apparently refused to enforce an order of the Supreme Court, although the quote is said to have been apocryphal, and that was Andrew Jackson in Worcester vs. Georgia, 31 U.S. (6 Pet.) 515 (1832).

Legislative branch writes the laws.
Judicial branch interprets the laws.
Executive branch enforces the laws.

Apparently you’ve never had neighbors who don’t like you and would call police, code enforcement, HOA, etc. for the smallest grievance.

“care about their neighbors” is a nice concept that gets trampled on pretty quick by money, social cliques, and other influences. Lynch mobs were commonly made up of their neighbors.
