so far the best experience I’ve had was with DirecTV because you get a great guide you can use to record, it has all my stations, and the experience is great.

By satellite (dish) or streaming (online) ?
Streaming online. Many platforms have a weird latency or a juddering issue, something I perceive that bothers me (not everyone does) with sports but DirecTV and Amazon Prime Video seem to handle live sports broadcasts better than everyone else, high resolution on my high resolution larger phone (S25 Ultra) and crystal clear TV, it honestly looks better than watching it on some TVs.
But I also love the satellite service as well, it’s far, far better than anything we can get in Canada.

Yes, exactly, I need a VPN to use the DirecTV app but also had to download the .APK because it wouldn’t appear in the Google Play store for me as well, and for a few years when AT&T came into the picture I also had to use an American phone number to call for sales and support because they blocked Canada. That’s changed in the past year or so, can call from Canada now.
It’s still a great deal and a great service even though everyone likes to poo-poo satellite TV, we pay significantly less than YouTube charges after negotiations. However since they took NFL Sunday Ticket, the price for that + YouTube is insane… $480!? For years I would get it for free on DirecTV.
If I were an American I’d probably get a VPN and get a subscription to DAZN in Canada which is the exact opposite of what I’d done for decades. Edit: DAZN in Canada is $199 CA a year ($145 US or so) and it includes everything from Football (every game), Soccer (UEFA, Champions League, Europa, MLS), Baseball (every MLB game), Tennis, Boxing, and MMA.
