Episode 6 was weird in that there was not that much animation in it. When it started I was thinking “this CGI looks really lifelike” then I realized it wasn’t CGI. The premise was interesting but the story was not great.
Episode 7 looked amazing. A dinosaur race, in space, with the riders attacking and killing each other, while some socialites watch. There was one point where the I thought the “hero” was going to use her grapple to save herself from a fall, but nope, she used it to pull one of the socialites down with her. I was like: “oh shit, that’s cold.”
Episode 8 was a very wild ride. It reminded me at first of Memphis Belle and then later of the Indiana Jones movies with the Nazis experimenting with the occult. The last half was all action and mayhem.
Episode 9 was pretty funny. Getting well-known comedians to voice the appliances worked pretty well. (I recently saw a Brett Goldstein (Roy Kent from Ted Lasso) standup special and it was pretty funny.
Episode 10 was great. I liked the animation style and the story was interesting. But…benevolent cats? 🐱
Probably episodes 2 (“Close Encounters…”), 3 (“Spider Rose”), and 7 (“The Screaming of the Tyrannosaur”) were my favorites. The only episode that I didn’t enjoy in some way was episode 6, but it was pretty short, so not a lot of time was wasted.
