terabitz Probably for the better. You wouldn’t believe how many people leave their bills out in the open and that code is printed on them. All it takes is knowing the account number and that code to modify services, assuming said customer has not set up voice ID when calling.
toolman1990 I see people getting locked out of their accounts with this change since Spectrum creates a random security code unless you opt to change it.
antdude IIRC, this started with TWC. Or did Charter do this too before it took over TWC? Anyways, yeah I never understood why they/it posted codes on the billing statement. Bad security risk! Also, I never got this e-mail about this news. 🙁
