However, I can’t help wondering about the reality that the environmental balance factors x-thousand or more years ago may have been significantly different from now. In particular, the other flora and fauna that may have impacted (or helped control or otherwise govern) an extinct species may no longer be in play currently. IMO, there are enough problems with the spread of invasive and ‘introduced’ species in this day and age, and I wonder what Pandora’s boxes this sort of thing will be opening…
