Thought I'd start a new thread for suggesting functionality and not clog up the "Suggestions for additional forums" thread. How about embedding YT and other videos, twitter feeds, etc. Currently I can post links but embedding is much better.

I would actually like to see a sort for "Unread".

Not sure if it's been mentioned in this long topic........but, I see the same thing happening here as was on DSLR. Left clicking on an embedded hyperlink takes you away from the forum and to the link in the same window. Right Clicking simply goes to the link in another tab. Can you change the default behavior where a left click opens the link in another tab vs having to right click?

I would really, really, really, like to be able to see the unread posts in each tag down the left side. I am missing a lot of posts because the follow function is not really good enough.

Donoreo I use Vivaldi and where I leave off is where it starts when I go back, the bubbles on the right show how many replies have been made since last visit.

Notice how the bubble is dark and number beside it tells me how many post since last visit.

I have that, until I go a view one, they all get marked "read" and are no longer highlighted. That may be a bug. Either way, seeing how many unread in ALL forums is what I am asking about.

Donoreo Yes sorry Have been up all night messing with a fraud incident, My mind is not clear at the moment. I agree that would be a nice feature.

Jbob This is generally something that can't be done without changing the code of the site. Unless it's already a setting within the configuration of Flarum. @Guy54435 is correct though, you can override this by clicking on links using your middle button (in most cases now the wheel button).

Donoreo This is not a bad idea really. However, it would definitely be annoying for the tags you don't ever visit. There would always be unread posts showing. I know Flarum is highly extensible, but I'm noticing a lot of oddities that should just be standard in forum software, lacking in Flarum. I might spin a copy up and play around to see if I can find anything that someone here might be missing on the extension side. Perhaps if the extension coding process isn't insane, I might even try my hand at making one for something requested here.

Edit: Ooo looks like I can spin up a docker on Unraid of Flarum. Weeeeee

SAME here. I would like to see an "Unread" sort selection along with the Newest, Latest, etc.

I would also like to have a favourites feature what only shows the tags you want to follow. The current follow tags does not provide this.
