Fixing a market ‘disconnect’
While Comcast gets high marks for speeds in what’s now a super-charged competitive environment, the operator is not seeing improvements in churn or acquisition even in its upgraded markets.
“We are not winning in the marketplace in a way that is commensurate with the strength of the network and connectivity products,” Comcast President Mike Cavanagh acknowledged today on the company’s Q1 earnings call.
He said Comcast has worked hard to understand the reasons for this “disconnect” and has discovered two primary friction points: price transparency and predictability, and a lack of ease in simply doing business with the operator.
“The good news is that both are fixable and we’re already underway with execution plans to address these challenges,” Cavanagh said. …
