Google’s daft AI is crediting MELT (mandatory entry-level training) as being brought in after the crash to improve the industry but Ontario had it a year before the crash; as with any system if there is a way it can be gamed or profiteer from it will be if its not constantly being audited. IMHO the industry sucks, it still sucks and there are a lot of unskilled, dangerous and even deranged “professionally licenced” truck drivers on the road.
When nothing materially changes it means the kids that died or were maimed that day did so in vain, the Trucking industry just has too much built up momentum to change.
