Ting users happy?

Every time I walk into Costco, I am reminded how happy I am with Ting. It brings a smile to my face when I mention that I use an MVNO - Ting! Some look confused, what’s an MVNO? Some just shrug and turn away. Ting really is a great service and I have been a customer for at least ten years.

What’s Ting? I don’t go to Costco. Don’t know if that’s the problem.

It’s a discount carrier owned by T-Mobile. I don’t know what bells and whistles T-Mobile customers get that I don’t get.

Ting Mobile is a low-cost mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) owned by Dish Wireless, which is the same parent organization of Boost Mobile and Republic Wireless.

1) Ting Mobile used to be owned by someone else.

2) Ting Mobile is now separate company from Ting Internet.

3) As far as the cellular network being used:

While Ting is a T-Mobile MVNO, some customers may have access to Verizon Wireless’ network instead if Verizon offers better coverage in their area.

I was on Ting MVNO cellular for a few years, but left, mainly because they never offered support for Apple Watch cellular plans.

Migrated to ConsumerCellular, which really caters to the retiree crowd, but it has Apple Watch plans for $5/month/watch, which is the cheapest out there I found.

Overall, I think my bill was a little lower on Ting than CC, but I really like having the backup of cellular on Apple Watch, so it was worth a little more $.
