You do get better service at the expense of higher prices,” said one Reditter. Service is like night and day. Lowes are asking if I need help. HD is running the other way.

Both Lowed and HD sell a lot of crap, low quality lumber, builders special plumbing supplies, brand name but lower quality made for them power tools and hardware that they will not have in stock after a few months making purchasing matching replacements a real problem.

If one wants lumber go to a lumber yard, likewise with tools go to a reputable tool company, the same with plumbing and quality builders hardware.
