I watched this one.
It was fine. It will probably scratch that itch of the adventure movie in the mold of Indiana Jones, National Treasure, DaVinci Code, etc.
I guess the issue is that it really doesn’t bring anything new (not that a movie has to in order to be good). It does sort of feel like someone took those above-listed movies, mashed them together with some AI and came up with a movie. Our heroes outsmarting the authorities, ancient mysteries, visiting a famous set-piece or two, quippy comments, etc.
In the end, it was a weird combination of being entertaining, but also feeling kind of bland at the same time. Sort of like eating a bag of Doritos.
And, in these movies, where some secret order is hiding some ancient treasure, how is it possible that these complex ancient mechanisms that reveal secret passages and tunnels are all still in working order after thousands of years of disuse?
