CommunityMember Actually, according to the FDIC, it is more like 15% of the population without credit cards, and more like 4% of the population is unbanked (so they would not have either a credit card or a debit card). To what should surprise no one, certain groups have a higher unbanked percentage than others.
And how many of those with CC’s have them have a GIANT anchor around their neck. I’ve always been fortunate enough to pay the CC off, monthly, many are not in that position.
