I seem to have dodged major tree damage with only a few limbs here and there, others in my area are not so lucky but nothing major that I am aware of except for power outages and the Hodag Dome collapsing in Rhinelander, Wi. Now we have this coming on Tuesday night. Tomorrow Night 04/01 87% / 3 in Watching a potential winter storm. Periods of snow. Low 28F. Winds ESE at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of snow 90%. Snow accumulating 3 to 5 inches. Blah yuck again.

Rain and potentially severe thunderstorms are in the forecast for Sunday afternoon and evening after another warm, sunny day for New Jersey. “Severe thunderstorms are possible late tomorrow afternoon and evening,” the National Weather Service said Saturday afternoon.

“Damaging straight-line winds and large hail are the main threats, though an isolated tornado can’t be ruled out,” the weather service said. “An isolated instance of flash flooding also can’t be ruled out.” The thunderstorms are expected between 4 and 10 p.m.

The only thing I see in Sunday’s forecast is for a “stray shower or thunderstorm”. Nothing severe.

NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) — Another round of summer-like temperatures is possible this week, according to the latest forecast models. Afternoon temperatures on Wednesday may climb into the low to mid 80s in some locations of the tri-state area, which could be the warmest temperatures ever recorded for the date.

The record high temperature for April 1 in Central Park is 83 degrees which was set in 1917, according to climate data. Some other locations that may reach record territory include Newark, New Jersey, where the record high is 82 degrees set in 1978. …
