I seem to have dodged major tree damage with only a few limbs here and there, others in my area are not so lucky but nothing major that I am aware of except for power outages and the Hodag Dome collapsing in Rhinelander, Wi. Now we have this coming on Tuesday night. Tomorrow Night 04/01 87% / 3 in Watching a potential winter storm. Periods of snow. Low 28F. Winds ESE at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of snow 90%. Snow accumulating 3 to 5 inches. Blah yuck again.

I’m on the north side of that storm (near Philadelphia) and will be getting a light mixed rain/snow event Saturday.

Same here! The trick here is to wear layers. Monday night will be getting down to 13 deg F.

I died laughing when one of our crazy-a** local weather guys said we needed to take care of our pets, plants, and our pipes like we live in Buffalo. Probably half the viewers who heard that probably didn’t even know what he meant. 🙄

It got up to 60 today and will be up to 70 tomorrow.

Additional information:
Lake effect snow is expected to develop overnight close to Lake Huron and on Monday for areas farther east.

Of particular concern is the potential for several hours of blizzard conditions beginning late Monday afternoon. Westerly winds gusting up to 90 km/h may develop. These winds should diminish somewhat Monday evening, although lake effect snow will continue into Tuesday and possibly Wednesday.

In addition, cold wind chills between minus 20 and minus 25 are expected.

Travel may be extremely hazardous. Road closures are possible. Utility outages are possible.

What:
Blizzard conditions with near zero visibility.
Westerly winds gusting 70 to 90 km/h.
Wind chills between minus 20 and minus 25.
Snowfall accumulations of 20 to 40 cm. Locally higher amounts possible.

When:
Snow squalls beginning Monday morning.
Blizzard conditions Monday afternoon through Monday evening.
Heaviest snowfall amounts expected Monday night into Tuesday.

Additional information:
Lake effect snow squalls will begin Monday morning. Strong westerly winds will develop Monday afternoon, producing blizzard conditions in blowing snow. Winds and blowing snow will diminish Monday evening, however, snow squalls will continue into Tuesday.

Travel will be dangerous and likely impossible due to near-zero visibility. Road closures are possible.

Avoid travel and outdoor activities, if possible. If you must travel, have an emergency plan. Protect yourself from wind, cold and disorientation by staying sheltered, indoors or with your vehicle. If you become lost or stranded, remain where you are until conditions improve.

Starting to get chilly here too. I just rolled the trash out to the street while wearing T-shirt and shorts, but got back in before I got cold.

We had 30+ MPH wind gusts this morning, but it’s been sunny. As the console show, winds are down nicely.

No snow 🙂

This New Forecast Just Took A Turn.

Soooo, we got the weather prediction by going shopping for our normal picking up a few things at Wegmans but they are out of a lot of “things”.

Then went to Lowes to complain about an order I’m trying to stop and they can’t. A story for later but they are down to selling water softener salt for ice melt. Those pellets are about half an inch. You’ll fall on the salt marbles.
