I seem to have dodged major tree damage with only a few limbs here and there, others in my area are not so lucky but nothing major that I am aware of except for power outages and the Hodag Dome collapsing in Rhinelander, Wi. Now we have this coming on Tuesday night. Tomorrow Night 04/01 87% / 3 in Watching a potential winter storm. Periods of snow. Low 28F. Winds ESE at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of snow 90%. Snow accumulating 3 to 5 inches. Blah yuck again.

About 40 mi SW of you, some sleet and a little icing but not too bad, yet. I wouldn’t want to be driving in it but I was out side walking. Enough sleet to make it crunchie.

Weather warnings sounding loudly for several days already here in SW CT. Snowing nicely Expecting 8+ inches.

I ended up with about an inch or two of hard-packed sleet on snow. It can’t be easily shoveled, so I’ll wait until the temperature warms up and let it melt. Sunday will be above freezing and Monday’s high is 55 deg F.

I know the sleet / ice cover on snow is a major pain. I’d rather do my 6 inches of powder any day.

Looks like we’re getting 20 mph with 40 mph gust for a couple of days. That’s it.
Maybe because I’m getting old but this year seems like a lot of cold wind the past couple of months.

It also seems to me that there have been a greater number of wind storms lately.

I think there have been more Wind Advisories and High Wind Watches/Warnings issued these past several months here in NJ.

Next 9 day North Central Wisconsin

Snow blowing 9-10 inches of light fluffy snow with winds of 10-15 mph with higher gusts that are shifting every 20 yards of my 200 yard by 10 yard driveway is not fun. Just a big swirling mass of snow. I finally got one end of the driveway open with one vehicle width lanes from two vehicles to get out in case of an emergency. I will finish it tomorrow, at least it was a nice balmy 15° f. Oh well that’s winter where I live.
