First, the Aurus in the title is the russian made Aurus Senat that is Putin’s presidential limousine.

And it caught fire (after an explosion?) in downtown Moscow….

Just day after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made a bold statement that Vladimir Putin would “die soon” and that the war would end with his death. A luxury limousine from the Russian president’s official fleet exploded in central Moscow today. The incident has raised concerns over Putin’s safety and fueled speculation about internal threats in the Kremlin. Some reports suggest it may have been a failed assassination attempt.

The quality of russian cars is probably nowhere near to german cars (Putin used a Mercedes before) so it may very well be just an accidental mishap, but given the ongoing war in Ukraine, I think there is a somewhat better than 50% chance that it wasn’t an accident.

Hopefully, his days in power are numbered and his replacement will bring an end to the unlawful invasion. Hopefully, Ukrainian children return to their homeland and Ukraine will join NATO, they deserve it.

Supposedly the CiC is pissed at Putin. Hopefully, he’s pissed enough to reverse his attitude toward Ukraine.

I was saddened to hear that Putin was not in the car when it went up.
