hitherelolz I just pulled up plan builder for a home near that amp and they still don’t sell X-Class Plans. For example, the 1 Gig for $60/m plan states 1170 mbps by 117 mbps in the broadband facts card.
That was originally an MB120. They swapped it for FDX amp about a year later.
SECV does put their logo on the splice case along with an alpha numeric identifier after the service is “blessed” to go live.
I checked the same address on SECV’s site and got back “Great news — Fiber Internet service is available at your home!” It shows a questionnaire asking the services interested in (Internet, TV, Phone), how many internet users are in the household, how many bedrooms, how many connected devices, and specific categories thats important for your internet use case (Social Media, Online Gaming, Stream Movies & Shows, Work from Home, Remote Learning). Then they suggest a speed. If I pick 4 people, 4 bedrooms, select all of those use cases and select the top number of devices… it suggests Fiber 2 gig x 2 gig Internet for $91.96/m. There’s a button to upgrade to Fiber 5 gig x 5 gig internet. ONT Rental is Free, and you can add on Plume Whole Home Wifi for $9.95, or a single Plume wifi pod for $7.95. Additional plume pods are $5 per month.
If I click Upgrade to 5 gig, its a 1 year promo price of $106.35. 5074.56 / 5006.08 mbps / 1.67 ms
If I click Upgrade to 8 gig, its a 1 year promo price of $122.35. 8218.56 / 7884.90 mbps / 1.67 ms
Regarding Comcast FDX, I’ve seen a number of those amps in that specific community. NONE in my area, but I suspect that could change once SECV Fiber goes live (competition is great).
I’ve seen quite a mixed bag in the Comcast Central PA market. Lancaster has FDX amps too, but they also have MB120’s and BLE120’s… and they also have parts of down town where there’s just a harmonic node on every corner (sure looks like N+0 in that case). I put in an address right by an FDX amp in Lancaster and they don’t have X-Class plans either.
