Consolidated Communications, Inc. (CCI) is a "nationwide Internet service provider & telecommunications company providing Internet, TV, data and cloud services for homes and businesses." This forum is intended to address CCI corporate activity, commercial fiber activity and residential fiber and DSL activity. The residential fiber network is branded Fidium. Customer service, at least in New England, can be reached (per a 2023 note) at 1.844.4.FIDIUM (1.844.434.3486). CCI in New England is active in the tri-state ME, NH, VT area.
Fidium gateways operate using DHCP to assign an IP address to the subscriber. If a subscriber uses his own router, the subscriber will need to provide Fidium with his router's MAC address to allow service. Earlier Consolidated FAST connections were made using PPPoE, inherited from Verizon, for which a password and user name were required.
Fiber bandwidths up to 2.5 Gbps using the XGPON networking standard are available in some areas.
