How Does The Media Manager Work?

I have 2 issues with the media manager(Where you upload pictures or videos to add to your posts):

It doesn’t tell you what thread or post the media is posted in. I don’t wanna get it cluttered. This is partially my fault because I should’ve labeled the media better before I uploaded it. But if I’m right about number 2, then none of this matters except the part that’s my fault.
How do you delete something from the media manager? When I press the crossed out eye that’s on the media, I get a message that says: Are you sure you want to hide <media name here>? Hiding a file will only remove it from your media manager and will not affect existing posts. It sounds like that means it just hides it in the media manager and the media is still in a post. Apparently you can’t delete media? What good does hiding it in the media manager do? Maybe the media manager is just for uploading the media to the site and the media doesn’t need to be in the media manager to appear in posts? And that’s also how you declutter the media manager. But that means you have to delete the media twice (from the media manager and delete the HTML code from the post) to really delete it. But I really only care about de-cluttering the media manager, so I guess it’s fine if it works that way.

Whatever you do, do not check the “no more notifications” box when presented while hiding the media. I thought it would just eliminate the nag screen for the media manager but apparently it is site wide. Now I can’t even “X” out of posts I decide not to submit and probably other actions requiring confirmation. I have not found a way to undo. Hmm, if I save the post as a draft first it allows me to “X” it out. I’ll see if @SLC_96 can reset this.

@“SLC_96”#p21428 I think you are describing the Firefox feature that hides script dialogs. If you quit Firefox completely and then reopen it, Firefox will allow script dialogs again.

Can’t you just go into the browser settings then site settings, and re-enable Javascript? Wait? It’s a forum software problem? Not a Javascript problem?

No, it was a Firefox feature that was restored when reopening the browser.
