Page Six is reporting that Hardy got himself fired from the show.

Tom Hardy fired from Paramount+ show ‘MobLand’ after on-set drama: report

Tom Hardy has reportedly been fired from the Paramount+ series “MobLand” after two seasons.

The actor was let go from the show following “on-set issues” with executive producer Jez Butterworth, 101 Studios and others, sources told Variety on Friday.

A Puck News report claimed Hardy, 48, was consistently late to production during Season 2, gave frequent script notes, changed dialogue and was upset about the ensemble cast, which includes fellow A-listers Helen Mirren and Pierce Brosnan.

I finally started watching this and I’m hooked.

I connect a lot less with British, Irish, and most of European ‘mob’ dramas because in real life, their criminal empires are so dirty and they don’t have the same rules of engagement that the Italian mob had when they were flourishing in North America and Italy. With that being said, I’m really enjoying this show and I binged 3 episodes last night and stayed up far later than I should have…

I’m not that far into the first season yet but I love Hellen Mirren’s character, who highlights how dangerous a woman like that can be in certain cultures that allow a woman to meddle in such affairs. The Italians and Russians would definitely never foster such an environment but WASPy mobs in the UK, I could totally see this happening. I hate her character and love her at the same time.

Unfortunately their real life antics were nattering in the back of my mind while I was watching the show, that Tom Hardy was allegedly fired, politics, blah blah blah, but upon checking today it seems he wasn’t fired after all so who knows.
