Scotland Yard is the police force for Greater London (32 London boroughs (such as Westminster, Kensington and Chelsea, Barking and Dagenham, Croydon, etc), but NOT for the “City of London”.
But the “City of London” is only about 1 square mile, ruled over by a Lord Mayor, it is the financial heart of London sort of like Wall Street would be for New York. The “City of London” police is a separate entity (NOT part of Scotland Yard), and is known especially for their expertise in financial fraud.
