There was a thread about the tipping insanity in the Pub at DSLR. I remember there were tipping evangelists in it who had no complaints about the excessive tipping. But they probably even tip moderators. Perhaps I shouldn’t have said that, lest I give the moderators here any ideas😂*. I guess the best we can do is only tip where it’s normal and tip a normal amount. Maybe use the Custom button more often.
There’s probably gonna be a tipping bubble soon. Maybe the generation after GenZ who don’t have tipping ingrained in them yet will never start tipping in the first place because they see how excessive the tipping amount is and begin the end of the custom.
I had no idea the rest of the world didn’t tip. But then again, I’ve never been out of the country. Since foreigners don’t tip at home, do they not tip when they vacation here either? Do you Canadians tip down here? I’ll bet the French ones don’t.
I guess one customer doing it won’t help the waiter/waitress much, but can’t customers get arround “Tipping out” by leaving a cash tip instead of doing it electronicly? Of course most people probably don’t have cash to do that anymore. I have cash in my wallet, but I’ve very rarely used it in the last 5 or 10 years.
There’s a mistake in the video. “This Is Not A Check” means you have direct deposit and your employer gives you a check stub that looks like a check if you don’t wanna go completely paperless with your paychecks. Not what says in the video, which is that since there’s nothing left after taxes, therefore there’s nothing to pay you, therefore the check is not a check. Come on. That’s rediculous.
*Coming soon to Broadbandbulletin.com because of me: Tipping the moderators. Sorry about that.😂
