I ride mountain bikes, except at the moment because I have a front wheel bearing issue, and northern Ontario is already a popular destination. Sault St. Marie is well known for having great trails and now Sudbury is likely to catch up. Overall, this is a good thing for the economy.

Kivi Park in Sudbury, Ontario, is set to become a world-class mountain biking destination thanks to a $256,000 grant from the Federal Economic Development Agency for Northern Ontario (FedNor). The grant will be used to redesign and expand approximately 21km of trail, including building connections throughout the park. The redesign aims to address issues with the current trails, such as too many switchbacks and poor flow, while maintaining accessibility for all skill levels. Work has already begun on the trails, with phase one focusing on connecting and redesigning existing trails, and phase two including the construction of new trails.
