Been there, seen that before, with W7 on 3x systems. I did Not Upgrade from W7: This was OUR decision: Hardware & Software limitations (would not work on W8 or above) prevented us from an upgrade. We did that. It was Our Decision!
All W7 systems are still fast & fully operational, and software & hardware are fully functional. Knowing a situation might occur putting us in jeopardy, we put our Upgrade $$ into better router with firewall and packet sniffer, with daily threat database(s) updates. We have seen No problems with our W7 systems from then to today! One W7 system is still a daily user! I’m typing on it now!!!
Let me remind you, Microsoft, that YOU WERE THE ONE: who decided to lock W10 & W10 PRO users out of a W11 Update! This was not our decisions as it was in W7 times! YOU DID THAT!
And as time went on, You then locked out users that had updated to W11, but after the fact you prevented them from continuing on! That was worse than preventing an update in the first place!! Shame on you!
So: Seeing that Microsoft Locked Us OUT, and a Good router, Firewall, and Packet Sniffer works for W7 Systems for years now….. What do you think we’ll do with our fast W10 & W10 PRO systems where we can’t Upgrade to W11 even if we wanted to, and the systems we have are Not slow and sluggish, but Quite fast and presently does everything we need, and other that the title: W11, there is NO NEW “MUST HAVE” FEATURE IN W11 over 10, or even 7!
As, If, and When any system here becomes inoperative, Yes, I will purchase a new system. Probably a Windows computer…. At that time - not now - as the systems we have are fully operational, and protected!
You shot YOURSELF in the foot on this one, Microsoft! Don’t cry to me!
In the meantime, an option to others facing the same thing - No Update Path with fast computer doing everything you need it to do now……..
Consider learning about improving the device you use to protecting everything in your entire system — from bad things from the internet. Put your Update $$ into THAT!
