Paypal/Dropbox Email Scam

I received this phishy-looking email from “Paypal” today:

Why does it say it’s from “Paypal Inc.” but the address shows a Dropbox one (no-reply@dropbox.com)?

The URL for the “Upload files” is “www.dropbox.com/l/AAAnscBuX_yvcOHu9tn1ZYd8lyxZMVMOXh0”

So what particular “files” per “request from paypal” are they looking for?

And who picks up that “+1(888) 722-5911” number if you should call it? A google search on it turned up nothing.

And why would I even get this if it’s addressed to: “output_part_98@lunarvifgryujsta.onmicrosoft.com”

I must have been just Bcc’d on it [as probably were lots of others too! 😉 ].

I haven’t received that one, YET but I have received others. Usually, it’s someone has taken money or used your PP account. The first time I contacted PP and they asked me to forward the email. After that, I check where it came from and it’s always some “strange” address. I just delete it.

You wonder how many people fall for the scams.

I bet you think the texts from the USPS saying they can’t deliver a package ’cuz the address isn’t right aren’t legit. :-Q

I called that from a burner-type number, when the call connected there was Hold Music, then finally said you’ll be connected to the voicemail of George Watson.

Funny thing, this was right during the Watson TV show. 😃

Called from another burner number supplied by Localphone and the call was rejected because their phone system of the 888 people said that the use of a Localphone number indicated that I was a robocaller! 😃
