For many of you it is buzzkill speaking against file sharing. But musical artists struggle. Between that and the companies ripping off artists and albums no longer selling, it’s almost impossible for artists to make a living. Watch youtube about it, it’s devastating.
No artist gets into it trying to be rich, but just making a minimal living is hard as hell.
You know those stand in musicians at concerts you go to? They get paid about 100 a show, and yes, I’m talking about the big shows.
Add to that the cost of gear, a good amplifier now costs 4 or 5 grand, and a good vintage guitar costs the same. Most good pedals are in the 500 dollar range and power supplies are over 200.
Studio time< forget it.
And an artist has to pay the mixer, lighting roadies, technicians, and venues big bucks.
Life is hard for musicans.
