Every other year we mulch. This year we did about half then decided to get a quote on remaining. Decent price with install.
They brought too much mulch and offered to leave it when finished. We accepted.
Now we’re putting mulch wherever we can…. So much for having someone else install it!

Pile is down to 4’x3’x1.5’. Lot has never looked as good, and I’m getting my exercise! Later today I’m concentrating on far side of pond.
Should be almost gone tomorrow.
Using a Dump Cart behind riding mower to move product is fantastic!

JanJ That’s a good combination. I’ve been trying to do it that way. Hire out the main jobs and take care of the miscellany myself. That is way better than sitting in a rocker on the front porch waitin’…………..

And as day progressed, we found a couple more small places now augmented with mulch, and we walked through the fence LED Lights repairing or replacing bad units. Mulch pile ⅓ of yesterday! While I mulched by pond, Wife fed the Rhodies by driveway.
And I learned something from pro’s who did mulch cleanup!
Don’t shovel or sweep. Use a leaf blower! Done in 4-5 minutes with it looking like the pro’s did it!
Next time: crawl under huge Rodies at front, cutting, spraying vines with our homemade weed killer: (1 gallon Vinegar, 1 cup of salt, 1-2 Tablespoons of Dawn dish soap) that kills vines that try to strangle things here, (and also poison ivy if soaked and let sit for days). and finish fence LED lights (ran out of spares). Already seeing catfish, bass, bluegill in pond. No minnows yet, but it’s early..We are way ahead of maintenance things this year! Pics when Rhodies bloom in a month or so.
