If it’s anything like the questions that the government folks down here (Commerce Department) ask us in their small business surveys, questions are of this sort:
Do you expect that your sales or income in the next (X) months will increase, decrease, or be flat?
Do you expect that (X) months from now your number of employees will increase, decrease, or be flat?
Do you expect that (X) months from now the purchases for your business will increase, decrease, or be flat?
Such questions are meant to focus on (as the name says), confidence.
