“Water won’t shut off”
Well! THAT is an attention getter!
Went outside to see water coming out of an outside spigot. Wife had just filled a bucket of water, and yes, it won’t shut off. !!
Shut off all water to house and after filters, etc. . (Well, this outside spigot is freeze proof and on water filter system.)..
Unscrewed spigot. Suspect rubber seal, it looks very indented (spoken as a guy who only does plumbing when I’m forced to!)
Took pieces and screwdriver to plumbing supply shop in town. They agree with look of the seal, and have “rebuild kit”, and since I had screwdriver with me, they oversaw and instructed me in the art of spigot rubber seal repair! There is actually 2 rubber seals.
At home, reinstalled it:
Acts as if brand new again!
Maintenance! 2 hours!!!
