Heat84 I know this is a bit of a necro but I just found this forum and wanted to address this question.
I/we (people behind a CGNAT) might need/want IPv6 because we need to allow incoming connections on a certain port, which requires port forwarding. We canât do that behind a CGNAT on an IPv4 address, but IPv6 would/should allow it.
I believe IPv4 is âall used upâ meaning all the addresses have been claimed by ISPs/vendors; there are no unclaimed addresses left.
