MacLeech If you don’t worry about dying every time you get into a car, it’s irrational to worry about dying in a plane crash.
Irrational fears are just that, irrational.
Most of the time, the person knows it’s an irrational fear, and they obviously can’t control it.
Telling them it’s irrational or not to worry doesn’t cure the phobia lol
I’m afraid of spiders. I know it’s irrational. I can kill them with my shoe and most pose no threat to me. I still hate them and don’t want them anywhere near me lol
I’m not a nervous flyer and I enjoy flying. But I’ve been in moderate/severe turbulence and my hands still get sweaty and I grip the armrests. I know the plane isn’t going to crash or break in half, but it’s still not pleasant.
