Can't Change My Max Tier

I’m receiving HBO Max basic with ads ($6.99/month) through the VZW Netflix/Max perk. Since B-R Sports is moving to the $11/month tier, I want to go to that. Every time I click the button to finalize the move, I get an error in red letters, saying, “Something went wrong. Please try again”. This happens in every browser I try and in the mobile app.

I tried emailing HBO and they never even responded. In the VZW app, it says to manage my HBO account through their website. I tried launching the HBO account through VZW and doing it that way, but the error persists.

Never mind I read your post wrong
Perhaps this has something to do with it: B/R Sports is currently included on all plans. Starting 3/30/2025, B/R Sports is included only on Standard and Premium plans. ™/© 2025 MLB. NCAA and March Madness are trademarks of the National Collegiate Athletics Association.
Since you say you have basic I don’t think it is possible with your current plan, Might have to shift to Standard plan and not Basic. I could be wrong but I believe that is what is happening.

I formerly had Max via AT&T Wireless and you couldn’t change the tier. The only way to change it was to not use my wireless account with Max. I’m guessing it’s the same on Verizon.

It says right on VZW’s site that we can change the tier though. Well, I canceled it and it ends tomorrow. I’ll see if I can change it after it ends.
