urbanriot It's a pretty wild place to be for political discussions, plenty of low brow humor and jousts but lots of clever people as well. You can pretty much speak your mind as well or as poorly as you want to and no one will care.
It's a much different crowd than what DSLR allowed in the open. A small club that has their own way but I wouldn't go as far as saying "no one will care". They celebrate no moderation but that's because they don't have to, until they do. Same way you don't with your own friends.
I only wish the site was more active in the areas that DSLR was - tech, security, media/entertainment, ISPs and telco, etc. As things are now HLF is more of an alternate to Social/The Pub from DSLR. And I didn't spend much time in those sub-forums.
