just_4_fun I keep getting the nag screen on my Samsung Galaxy A71 to upgrade to Google Messages. If I do and don’t like it could I revert back? I looked at some pros and cons but have yet seen a wining argument to switch
Kathy_9 just_4_fun As long as you keep the Samsung Messages app on your phone you can revert back by setting it as the Default app. A word of caution regarding Google Messages - there is no recycle bin; in other words, once you delete something, it’s gone.

Jbob just_4_fun Message + is, or was, different than Samsung Messages. Message + has been deprecated. Message + was a true RCS Client while Samsung Messages was not.
just_4_fun Jbob Evidently whatever the default messaging app was has deprecated as well otherwise I don’t think we be getting the constant upgrade reminders. You conversing to someone that’s not a huge fan of change however I just upgraded so we’ll how it does update: in the settings under RCS chats it says No Compatible SIM card detected
just_4_fun Back to Samsung messages, google messages was OK for a NY minute but then I noticed recent messages were missing from several contacts’ messages. I reverted back and the missing text messages have been restored. I don’t know if it was a view or time-out thing with the missing text messages but there was no benefit in keeping google messages that I could see.
InternetJeff Heat84 I use Pulse. It works good for me. Pulse is a great app. Blows away Google Messages with features.
OmegaWolf747 Back in the day I used Handcent Messenger. It was really good for its time, with unlimited customization. These days, I use Google Messages, but wish we had more visual customization.
