Definitely not pleasant, in my books. Though, what is one supposed to do?
At&t and I, already have a frustrating history. Even though I never had an account or did business with them personally, the amount of scammers trying to pose as bill collectors for them is itself enough of a deterrent. And when I was still a kid on family’s account, their phones never worked indoors, ever.
Verizon is just flat out too expensive to even consider, coverage fidelity be damned.
Both at&t and Verizon earned a reputation of arbitrarily blocking phones not explicitly purchased through them. And considering none of the brands that supply them directly will even make a phone I would actually want, at any price point, I know I’d never be happy; no matter how good or bad the service is.
Used to be, up to the 4g era, that at&t was the go-to for an internationally supported phone. But now with regards to 5g, the only one that can be reasonably expected to work with the phone is T-Mobile.
