antdude Hello, My newly extracted CCleaner portable v6.32.11432 won't launch in my updated 64-bit W10 Pro. PC. Its processes doesn't seem to show up after launching and allowing its UAC prompt. What's wrong? I had no problems in my very old, updated 64-bit W7 HPE SP1 VM. antdude AMDUSER Yeah, I'm using a local admin level account. Weird, it CCleaner works now since I didn't change anything. Wow, this program loves to phone home! I had to block all requests. 🙁 I tried to contact the company/developer with my issue and logs, but its https://www.zendesk.com/help-center-closed/?utm_source=helpcenter-closed&utm_medium=poweredbyzendesk&utm_campaign=text&utm_content=piriform.zendesk.com, from https://support.ccleaner.com/s/article/where-do-i-send-bug-reports-feature-suggestions?language=en_US, is closed. https://support.ccleaner.com/s/contact-form?language=en_US&form=general worked from that same support link, but I didn't get an answer so far. I also didn't feel like to register for a new forum account to post in its official forum (too many dang accounts these days). CCleaner changed a lot since it got bought out years ago. 🙁 I think I am going to have to go a new software and company. Free opensourced BleachBit might be a good choice.
takeahike antdude Not an easy app to deal with. How did you block all phone home requests? I use it mainly because I have it configured to do the cleanup job I need and don't like PrivaZer's antics and long-running time and I'm not sure R-Wipe & Clean won't ruin everything. Back on DSLR I had posted about its software updater on and off saying I still had Firefox v6.7 when I had the current v134. Now it says I'm due an update of LibreOffice to v25.2.0.3 from the current stable v24.8.4.2 that I have and when the LibreOffice's website still shows v24.8.4.2 as the current stable version with v25.2.0.3 as a prerelease.
antdude takeahike I only wanted it to clean up like the old days. I use https://binisoft.org/wfc as my firewall to control W10's firewall rules easily.
takeahike antdude What a difference a day makes. Now the software updater has changed its mind (I did not update LibreOffice).
Somewhat-Reticent Years ago Piriform (CCleaner, Speccy, etc) was owned by a Brit firm, now a Czech outfit.
