There are lots of drivers with complaints, it’s pretty rampant. I need an income and I’m not in enough shape to work in a grocery store any longer. I’ll see how it goes, personally, I wish my city had better public transit, it would be bad for business but good for the people in the city.
America used to have trollys that ran between towns and got folks where they needed to go.
Some cities have light rail, which I’m a huge fan of. When I lived and worked in Silicon Valley in Tech I wrode my bike to work and caught the light rail from downtown to our fab. I was in good shape back then.
Ride share has a place in the matrix of transport, in my city, most busses run only once an hour making a trip 2 and a half hours one way (wait for first bus, cath it to town, wait for second bus, take it to destination. Five hours of your day wasted. But if we ran small busses ever 15 minutes and ever half hour at night it would be way more effective and the busses would be less packed and unpleasant.
My city is NOT NYC, in NYC you can get anywhere with transit. Busses run frequently and a huge city has full coverage. My town is nothing like that. But small cities need to work better at this.
