Those were some fun game 7s. Especially considering those were two of the series I didn’t really watch at all.
On to round 2.
From my round 1 predictions, looks like I went an unimpressive 5 for 8. I got Tampa Bay wrong, Colorado wrong, and LA wrong. And it looks like I didn’t call a single series length correctly.
For round 2, I’m keeping my previous predictions from round 1 in bold to have some semblance of a bracket.
East:
(M1) Washington
(M2) Carolina
Washington in 6
(A1) Toronto
(A3) Florida
Florida in 5
West:
(C1) Winnipeg
(C2) Dallas
Dallas in 6
(P1) Vegas
(P3) Edmonton
Edmonton in 7
The one I feel most uncertain about is the Toronto series. My gut is that it’s going to be lopsided in one direction, or the other. It really depends on whether Toronto can break through the Florida D. If they can, I think they can handle Florida. If it ends up being a defensive, grinding series, then Toronto loses similar to how Tampa did.
