Business Gig upload increased in non-HS markets?

It looks like Charter might’ve upped the upload speed on business gig in non-high split markets to be 50mbps up based on the rate card’s expected upload being 57mbps. Thought it was interesting to see since we don’t yet have high split in central Ohio.

CBusdude They have changed a few things on the BCL website. Symmetrical gig had typical upload dropped by 15Mbps on the 1 gig tier.

They also seemed to have bumped business ultra to 800Mbps down /750Mbps upload.

Yup, they re-jiggered all of their business plans a couple weeks ago, similar to how they re-did the residential pricing a few months ago.

jma89 I wish they would have done 500, 750, 1Gbps, 2Gbps on residential but I am guessing they felt it would be too many tiers. I need to check and see if Cinci and Lexington KY have 2Gbps for small businesses.

Edit: looks like in Cincinnati Business 2Gbps is $230 non promo.

I am on Business 600/35, recently there has been a ton of high latency, suddenly I am seeing speeds of 800/40, I am wondering if the change to Business plans has anything to do with it.

Haven’t seen any bump in the WNY area on the Gig service. 42Mbps is still the max on Speed Tests. I have been hearing of businesses getting notices about their old modems needing to be replaced, though.

What I am seeing are more alerts about high latency on a number of Spectrum connections I monitor. My home node sees upload congestion from time to time now, where things drop to 12Mbps maximum from 42Mbps.
