I'm a Verizon customer on the previous 5G Get More plan. A few years ago I was offered the 5G Home plan for $25.00 monthly back when it first came out. I have fiber internet but got the 5G Home as a backup. Eventually they changed the 5G plans but I was grandfathered in and continued to get the same $25 monthly along with the higher speeds tier. We apparently they ended the grandfathered prices. What was $25 a month now is $47.25 a month.
I'm not sure if I missed the memo or not but guess it's time to drop that as a backup internet option. I still have the phone I can use as a Hotspot.
This is causing me to think about dropping Verizon altogether and moving to Mint Mobile. My VZW plan also includes Hulu and Disney +.
