Speed upgrade

Hi guys. Just wondering if anyone else got an email about a speed upgrade and if that means that anything changed on the upload side. I'm in the Lehigh Valley and was told I went from 300 mbps to 400 mbps. Couldn't find an updated rate card. Thanks!

Speed upgrades occurring in Texas on Grande native areas. 300/20 has been upgraded to 600/35 for multiple people I know in different areas. Some are only into the 2 year price lock period by a few months.

I just logged into my modem, and noticed it was restarted over the weekend. I now have two ODFM download channels. Still only three upload channels though. Not seeing any speed upgrades though. Still 370/24 on 300meg plan.

clocks We’ve had 2 OFDM channels for at least 8 months here. They are running the plant at 1 Ghz in Grande areas.

nucleartx Not sure what 1ghz means, but I do think the second OFDM channel by me is new. I check my signals pretty regularly, and would have noticed it. Also, it showed up last Sun after something rebooted my modem. I hope a speed bump is coming soon. FWIW I live in a former WOW area.

Oh, and I notice you have a 4th upload channel. I only have three.

clocks Grande has had 4 upload channels for at least 7 years here.
The OFDM download channel goes up to 959 Mhz indicating higher frequency use, 1 Ghz plant.

That’s absolutely normal for OFDM channels. It’s part of the way it works and everyone sees them.

I called Friday to cancel my TV services, since they finally killed the cable cards in my TiVos and I’m not interested in their IPTV service. They bumped me from 150 to 300/20meg. Speedtest shows 367/24, while pa.speedtest.astound.com shows 812/64. LOL…

jondar9 Yeah, those are the speeds I get on their 300meg plan. Their own speedtest site is in accurate IMO. I use speedtest.net.
