[deleted] Strange for the new Ultra to be based on the M3 and not M4 which has already been out for nearly a year. Definitely will confuse some people.
Donut417 [deleted] Saw the review on the Linus Tech tips channel. Basically it sounds like they take two M3 Max chips and glue them together. AMD does similar on their chips. There get an M3 Ultra.
Donut417 MichelR Thats how all the Ultra chips have been made. If anything Apple stole the idea from AMD, because thats how many of their chips are made as well.
Rich221976 I am planning on upgrading to the MacBook Air from my M1 MacBook Pro. I am able to upgrade to an 15 inch which will be much better for me to see. The only thing is that I gotta get the trackpad fixed before I do the trade in.
