I live in Western North Carolina, West of Asheville.. Ordered a Rackmount ventilated blank panel from company in Jackson, MO. It is a week late in arrival... Here is the path it has taken (So Far!): Jackson, MO St. Louis, MO missing 2 days Atlanta, GA Palmeto, GA missing 3 days Spokane Washington !! Been there 2 days....... Can't wait to see where it goes next! Hope it has a passport!!

JanJ AliExpress… I’ve ordered from that site a few times. The parts I ordered from that site were cheaper than eBay or Amazon.. for the same part. [Wi-Fi 6E / 10 gig wired ethernet cards.] It used to be a week from ordered to at my house.

I’ve bought 4K security cams quite successfully from AliExpress, and one product that was bait & switch. CC Company backed me on that.
This one should be ok: 1RU 24 port Ethernet keystone jack panel - bare metal. Getting cat6 keystone feed throughs from Amazon. Basically 3x the money than lost shipment, but twice the flexibility. Win some, CC backs the losers. 🤷🏼‍♂️

At about the time I posted this thread I bought a 12V 5A supply. I was thinking; Gee I wish I could have a simple power supply dummy load!
One thing led to another - added greater versatility, more supply voltages, looked at spare parts bin…..,

Ordered 5× 6 ohm, 20W resistors , and based upon what parts I have spare parts bin ……
Built a switchable 4A, 2A, 1A power supply dummy load.
Now the significance of this is: Oddball value Resistors arrived from China, and they arrived faster than a USPS package from Missouri to NC did….. That is STILL STUCK OUTDIDE OF SPOKANE WASHINGTON!!

So. I’ve taken a different approach, with regard to the replacement rack item (Still lost and claimed to last be seen in Spokane WA).

It’s being replaced with a 1RU CAT6 24 port patchfield.
The cost exceeds that of the last (Lost) product, and I’m retired—fixed income—Yada-Yada!😎 (and a penny pincher!)
Last week bought metalwork from Ali express, and CAT6 Keystone feed through’s from US seller (that’s are Chinese anyway, but price was right & test ok on GB Ethernet test routine in managed switch.). But kept cost down by getting metalwork from Ali Express. Once put together & tested overall cost will be less $$ than an out of the box new jackfield!😁
PO just took delivery of package from Custom’s…….. Let’s see if we can put this thread to bed shortly!!!

OH MY!
The “Plan B” Rack mount patch panel from China, that replaced the unit lost by USPS outside of Spokane, Washington….. got through Customs and delivered to USPS. NEARLY A WEEK AGO! Tracking would seem to indicate Customs was in Chicago..
It is now officially past due!
Just received email from Ali Express indicating that delivery is taking longer than expected.
Last tracking indicator said it was “At LOCAL PO after Customs”…….
????

Email just received. China delivery date is now 3/27/2025.
Regarding PO: this service used to work. Was quite reliable, too! It does not need to be political. It just needs to work for the public, as originally intended. If it needs to revert to the way it was, fine. Just work!
