Migrated over after reading from reddit. Where can I post my 5gbps speed tests? Since DSLR went down, I have taken some time to prepare a thesis for defence on why I require 5gbps at my house. Looking forward to presenting that to you all.

As y'all know I've had Frontier since the day they took over for Verizon in 2016. I still currently have gigabit with a FOG421 that hasn't failed me yet, but I do wish the tech had put in a FRX523 so that I could at least enjoy the full speeds instead of _840ish.

You could upgrade to the 5gig plan then downgrade back to 1gig the next day. I've been very tempted to do this myself since I have an old GPON unit (I don't remember the company or model off the top of my head).

In Connecticut we have 10ms latency to NYC despite being a hour subway away. Traffic gets hauled to Ashburn which makes no sense when you're in the NYC area and not the DC area.

It's not the 90s anymore when Virginia was more of a tech hub than NYC even when the opposite is true now if you're not in government.

neel Where are you in CT? I'm in Bristol. Definitely not seeing Ashburn VA routing here. I went off Wi-Fi and onto AT&T data and definitely saw it, so I know it when I see it. That said, tracerts in general are a bit strange on my phone. Will check on a PC (with really old software made for Win 9x) later.

I get 4 or 5 ms to Secaucus from Waterbury CT. What difference does it make where your speedtest runs to? I just wonder?
