Adding Max, Paramount+, Disney Basic, and Peacock to Word Boxes (A Request)

Hey All,
Please go to my post at the Spectrum Community Forum, and see the reasons why Max, Paramount+, Disney Basic, and Peacock should be added to the World "No Clock" boxes" on Spectrum Guide. Please give the moderator, @WilliamM.'s post a like. As stated at the link, I am petitioning Spectrum to add these apps on the World Boxes so that customers don't have to switch apps or devices to view the apps, and so that those without XUMO boxes have an easier way to enjoy thise apps!

Aren't they suppose to add MGM+ and AMC+ soon? Anyone have any info on this?

I know that MGM+ is available as an add- on channel for $7.00 a month. I subscribe to it. Have not heard anything on MGM+ steaming but sure you would have to have MGM+ if MGM+ streaming comes out.
AMC+ is out as an optional channel. Not sure, on price.

I don't have a XUMO box, but I would watch for those apps on XUMO first. I hope Peacock comes out by the end of 2025's second quarter, which would be June.

I don't see them spending the money to add them to the worldboxes, plus I wonder if they're even powerful enough. We're talking 2017-era hardware at this point. I imagine there was a good reason they dropped HBO Max from them.

pr92 They are powerful enough to run streaming apps. They have Netflix and Youtube. They previously had MAX before support was pulled due to unknown circumstances.

The biggest problem with the World Boxes was they were only using 4 DOCSIS channels to provide the IPTV apps back when there was only 24 6MHz channels. They eventually enabled 8 more DOCSIS channels for a total of 12 as the world boxes have a shared tuner between QAM video and DOCSIS for a total of 16 channels at a time.

I learned from an insider that the dropping of HBO Max (before they became Max) was HBO's decision.

I doubt the world boxes or any other Spectrum STB’s are going to add any features, improvements, or applications since it looks like Spectrum is setting the ground work to drop QAM TV in favor of the Spectrum TV application. They are adding the ability to pause Live TV which will be available to non Xumo streaming boxes in the 3rd quarter.

Tons of people still don’t like the XUMO boxes or the Spectrum TV app. Grandfathered accounts will probably remain for several years. But new accounts will push XUMO and Cloud DVR. Moving from a cable TV experience to a streaming TV experience.

I really hope Charter keeps improving their online TV products and services. My colony and I are still going to stick with the old school physical Arris boxes.
