I wonder if they are still overselling DSL. I remember when I was working for them, if a customer called in for slow speeds (which was worse then dial up), most of the time a red banner would come up in the tools that I used to check the line states. It would say something about the slow speeds and no ETA on when it was going to be fixed.
I remember most of us complaining and begging that we stop over selling but of course CL didn't want to do this. I remember just in Florida alone most areas in Orange City and area's severed by them were in that broadband bandwidth outage. I was requesting monthly credits or putting in a large credit to equal a monthly credit for there issues. I probably cost the company a good amount of money with my credits for doing this. Since I couldn't stop them from overselling, but I had the ability to provide credits, I tended to give them credits on the service for a full year. I was pissed at CL for doing this. I even credited the wireline when needed too. This was the way that I could punish Century Link for doing this to customers.
