lesmikesell The problem with coax/QAM is that EVERBODY on the segment gets the same identical “500-channel-universe” feed, including people who are subscribed to internet only, or a “skinny basic” cable package. So the signals have to be encrypted, and you need a box at the customer’s home that can be remote-programmed to decrypt only the channels the customer is subscribed to.
Internet streaming, on the other hand, defaults to zero streams to a customer device (desktop PC, smartphone, Roku, whatever). The customer’s software/hardware has to request an https connection for one specific stream.
